The Return of the Original A&M Records Discography!!

This is THE premier research source for A&Maniacs, produced by one of the senior members of A&M fandom (Rudy’s Corner, December 1998). The author was twice Curator of the “A&M Museum” (1982, 1987), onsite researcher for A&M Records: The First 25 Years, and music columnist for Galaxy Productions and Fragments West.

From the initial research (circa 1968) and as first presented in rough form to Dave Alpert, Aubrey Moore, and Louise Barnum in 1979, A&M Records: The Discography has followed the myriad changes at A&M from boutique label to global powerhouse. The third (1986) edition, sent to several A&M executives and the Library of Congress on its release, was consulted during the 25th anniversary research for the celebrations and accompanying book. Though updated twice since (1990 and 1993), it has not been widely distributed except to musicologists and label insiders.
